Leinster lock Ben Gissing has fought off a worthy challenge from Leinster new comer Jamie Heaslip to be voted Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Player of the Month for October.
Gissing's consistent hard hitting performances and outstanding commitment to his team were cited by almost all the fans but it was Gissing's try scoring double against Cardiff that inspired the fans to award him this month's accolade.
Having previously won this award in March 2004 and judging on his current form this season there's no holding back on Gissing's hunger to succeed.
In addition to winning the public support of the fans, Gissing also receives a specially commissioned award designed by award winning Dublin silversmith Seamus Gill.
To vote for your Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Leinster player of the month simply send an email to information@leinsterrugby.ie and tell us who you think should win the Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Leinster player of the month for November and why.
A pair of tickets to see Leinster in Heineken Cup action against Bourgoin on December 10th will be awarded to the most creative nomination.
