Sunday last saw droves of eager mini rugby enthusiasts descend to Gordon Park, the home of Clondalkin RFC…

It’s an exciting season for the club as its 1st XV embark on a season in the top flight of the Leinster ranks mixing with big boys like Wanderers and Coolmine, amongst others for the first time.

The club are extremely enthusiastic about the future and with numbers growing at every playing level the future is bright, much like their yellow playing kit. This season’s president Tom Duffy who is doubling duties as youth co-ordinator also is really pleased and optimistic about the season ahead.

The club are extremely welcoming so if you have children of any age and you want them to learn the sport in a controlled, safe and fun atmosphere then you could do worse than take a trip down to ‘Clon’”.
