The Plate usually starts in February or March and comprises teams which were defeated in the first round of the McGowan Cup.
Co Carlow are the current Plate holders having defeated Edenderry in the Final.
Regulations
This competition is organised by the Youth Section of the Leinster Branch and is subject to the Youths Regulations.
This competition is open to all affiliated clubs which were defeated in the first round of the McGowan Cup of the same season.
All players must be the correct age (under-14 years of age before the 1st July directly preceding the competition).
All players must be registered.
Clubs should have a valid ID card for each player.
All players must be eligible youths players as defined in the Youths Regulations.

History
The Leinster Under-14 Plate was introduced in the 2001/'02 season when Tallaght defeated Balbriggan in the Final.
