History

In the early 1970's the concept of Mini Rugby was progressively adopted by various Leinster clubs and the O'Daly Under-11 cup was started in 1974 (the Cup was put up by Dave O 'Daly from Navan).

The first winners were Athy. Initially, this Under-11 Mini O'Daly Cup was run at 15-a-side on a full pitch and on a 'Towns Cup' basis.

It merged with the Pepsi Cola Invitational Blitz and has since been run on a Blitz basis. It changed to Under-12 in the 1983/'84 season.
