Youth Competition Regulations

Each competition has it own specific regulations however, all Youth competitions are subject to the Youths Regulations.


The following is a general guide

All players must be the correct age (under the age before the 1st July directly preceding the competition).

All players must be registered.

Clubs should have an ID card for each player.

All players must be eligible youths players as defined in the Youths Regulations with the exception of the Special School/Youths Competitions.


Registration

To play in any competition a player must be registered.

The Youth Co-ordinator, Mini Co-ordinator or Youth Registration Officer in your club can supply you with registration forms which should be fully completed and returned with two passport size photographs and a copy of the players birth certificate.

Players attending Section B Schools who wish to play in a Special School/Youth competition must be registered using the special green registration form available for this purpose.

Any player or parent with a query on registration should direct them to the Youth Co-ordinator, Mini Co-ordinator or Youth Registration Officer in their club.

Any Club Youth Co-ordinator, Mini Co-ordinator or Youth Registration Officer with a query on registration should direct them to the Honorary Youths Registrar in the Branch.


Tours

Rugby is a truly international sport played and enjoyed by young people all over the world.

Each year many of our clubs experience the international dimension of the game by touring.

Whether by hosting visiting touring teams or by going abroad on tour themselves.

Any club youth or mini team wishing to host an incoming tour or to tour themselves should send full details to the Honorary Secretary of the Branch Youth Committee
