Sunday 29th September has been confirmed as the date for the opening round of games in Division 2A of the Leinster League…

Fixtures for the Seconds League Division 2A have not been issued as all participants have yet to be confirmed.

The composition of the Seconds League Division 2A should be known in the next week or two and when it has been finalised the fixtures will be published.

As happens almost every year games may have to be switched to a Saturday if there is a clash with a major home Leinster Heineken Cup or RaboDirect PRO12 game.

Any such alterations will be announced in the immediate aftermath of the ERC or RaboDirect PRO12 pronouncement.

If clubs subsequently wish to rearrange any of these games on the same weekend please contact your opposition and inform the Leinster Branch of the agreed alteration ASAP so that such change can be approved.

The winner of the Leinster League Division 2A will be automatically promoted to Division 1B and the team that finishes last will be relegated to Division 2B.

The team that finishes second will playoff with the seventh-placed team in Division 1B and the team that finishes seventh will playoff with the runner up in Division 2B.

The fates of the winners and losers of these playoffs will be determined by the promotion to and/or relegation from the AIL.

If any game is postponed or cancelled the Leinster Branch will use the first available date to refix that game.

As usual the Second XV fixtures when they are finalised will be timed to kick off 90 minutes ahead of the J1 matches.

The complete list of fixtures is now available on the Domestic Website and can be viewed by clicking here.
