Week four of the Herald Leinster Rugby Summer Camps kicked off on Monday in Portlaoise Rugby Club and Tullow Rugby Club with over 140 kids attending to improve their skill levels and enjoy the summer sun…
Leinster CCRO’s Maurice Logue and Steve Coy are managing the two camps in question and the children in attendance are sure to have a great time with the Leinster players visiting today, and also the trophies and Leinster Skills inflatable making appearances throughout the week.
Today Mike McCarthy and Jordi Murphy were signing autographs at the Tullow RFC camps while props Martin Moore and Jack O’Connell showed off more than their scrummaging skills as they played with some of Leinster Rugby’s future stars in Portlaoise.
Next week the camps return a bit closer to Leinster Rugby HQ as the kids of Donnybrook RFC and Cill Dara RFC get ready to boot up. The camps are now almost half way through with nine more provincial wide venues to choose from.
Cill Dara RFC are also hosting an open training day on the 9th of August where the players and new manager Matt O’Connor will show fans a small taste of what they do on a daily basis. The trophies will also be in attendance as fans will get a photo opportunity with the trophies at the same time as receiving autographs from their favourite players.
Places are still available for all venues still ahead of us and you can book today by logging on to www.leinsterrugby.ie/camps.
Also, if your child has already attended a Herald Leinster Camp, they can sign up for another camp for just €;50 (no kit included). It’s cheaper than a babysitter!
