The first week of the Leinster School of Excellence is now well underway and it has been a huge success thus far…

We have players travelling from all over the country and players from further afield such as Spain, Italy and Argentina which will benefit from the excellent coaching offered by the Leinster coaches. Children from the age of 12-16 years of age are given the opportunity to improve their skills and see how elite rugby players conduct themselves on a daily basis.

Today, Leinster Academy players came down for a visit to show the players some skills and pass their knowledge onto the next generation of rugby players coming through. Accompanying them were the three trophies that Leinster have won this past season, The Amlin Challenge Cup, The Rabo Direct PRO 12 and The British and Irish Cup. This gave all the attendees of the camp an opportunity to get their photos taken with the trophies and see the levels that they should aspire to in the future.

There are two more weeks of the School of Excellence still to come starting the weeks of the 29th of July and the 12th of August, which are already sold out, the quality coaching is set to continue for some time yet. With most of the children residing on campus for the week, it also presents a great opportunity for these young men to make new friends and acquaintances throughout the week.
