Former Leinster hooker Shane Byrne reflects on some "ding-dong battles" with Munster ahead of this Saturday's Guinness PRO12 match in the Aviva.
O'Connor coached in Japan before his return to Australia where he worked for four years with the Brumbies during which time he also coached Australia 'A' before joining Leicester Tigers.
He joined the Tigers coaching team in early 2009, with Tigers picking up the Premiership trophy at Twickenham and reaching a fifth Heineken Cup Final where they lost to Leinster in Murrayfield.
After retaining the Premiership title in May 2010, O'Connor became Head Coach in July of that year and led them to successive runner-up positions in the Premiership and in 2012 the English side won the LV Cup.
Prior to starting his three-year term as Leinster coach in July 2013, he helped guide Leicester Tigers to the Premiership title in May.
In his first season with Leinster, O'Connor delivered a PRO12 title - Leinster's second in as many seasons - with a win over Glasgow Warriors in the PRO12 Grand Final on 31 May 2014.
