*Leinster Schools Senior Cup winner (2007)

A Schools Senior Cup winner with St Michael’s College in 2007, Reid has proven to be a nerveless goal kicker through the Leinster age grades.

The outhalf, who can also play centre, has been involved in three British & Irish Cup campaigns to date and was the ‘A’ team’s match-winner away to Newcastle Falcons in May 2013. Faced with a penalty in the final minutes of the match, Reid nerveless slotted over to clinch an 18-17 win over Dean Richards’ men.

Reid has six appearances with Ireland Under-20 and, in June 2013, featured three times for Emerging Ireland as they finished runners-up at the Tbilisi Cup.

The 23-year-old got his Leinster debut and first start at the same time as he was handed the No. 10 jersey in a 26-7 win at the RDS. Sub appearances followed against Connacht and Benetton Treviso before Reid achieved another landmark, crossing for the only try in the Blues’ 22-6 away win over Aironi. His first season of senior squad involvement ended with an outing against Edinburgh and a start against Newport Gwent Dragons.

In tune with Reid’s steady progress with Leinster, his playing opportunities increased during the 2012/13 campaign. He made a first starts at centre, against Scarlets and Dragons, replaced the injured Gordon D’Arcy early in an away loss to Connacht and was trialled from the off at fullback against Ulster.

Reid’s final contribution to the senior team’s title-winning league season was starting at outhalf in the 32-5 besting of Llanelli Scarlets at the RDS.
