Local schools took part in the event organised by Wes Whitten (CCRO, Leinster Rugby) with the help of Vinnie Mahon (CCRO, Leinster Rugby) and Maurice Logue (CRO, Leinster Rugby).
The increasing popularity of rugby with girls could be seen with over 50 girls taking part in the blitz which was a great success.
The schools involved included, Scoil Padraig Naofa girls and boys, Binn na Choire girls and boys and Tinryland boys and girls.
