The draws for the 3rd round of the Metropolitan Cup as well as the draw for the Metro Plate were made on Monday evening at a Competitions Committee meeting in the new Leinster Branch offices in UCD and resulted as follows…
98FM Metropolitan Cup 3rd Round (first named team at home):
• Bective Rangers v Old Belvedere
• Clontarf or Wanderers v Lansdowne
• Greystones v NUIM Barnhall
• Coolmine v Dublin University
a) The above games will be played next Sunday, 1st April at 3pm with the exception of Clontarf / Wanderers v Lansdowne which will be played a week later on Sunday 8th April at 3pm.
b) The remaining 2nd round tie Clontarf v Wanderers is on next Sunday 1st April at 3pm.
c) There will be a fresh draw for the semi-finals after next Sunday’s 3rd round games; semi-finals will be on Sunday 15th April at neutral venues with 3pm KO’s.
d) The Final has been fixed for Sunday, 22nd April at 3pm in Donnybrook.

1st Round (on Sunday, 1st April at 3pm)

• Garda v Monkstown
• Blackrock College v Suttonians
2nd Round (on Sunday, 15th April at 3pm)

• De La Salle Palmerston v Blackrock College / Suttonians
Semi-finals (on Sunday, 22nd April at 3pm)

• Seapoint or Terenure College v De La Salle Palmerston or Blackrock College / Suttonians
