On behalf of the entire squad and management I would like to thank the thousands of supporters who made the trip to Twickenham on Saturday…
We are conscious of the cost of travelling and the disappointment you feel when we don’t win and I can only say that that feeling is echoed by each and every one of us in defeat. Our supporters are a credit to the province and they conducted themselves incredibly once more on the road.
We have developed a strong core following on the road in recent years and this level of support, allied to all those who follow us at home, inspires us.
There was a lot of hurt in the dressing-room after the game and we know that we have a big week ahead of us before we welcome Edinburgh to the RDS next Sunday. We will work hard this week to focus on an Edinburgh side that we have great respect for.
Each member of the squad has an important role to play in the build up to this game and we need to be sharp, disciplined and focused. We are in control of our own destiny in the group and we also have a proud record in the RDS. I have no doubt that you will come out again to support us once again for what is a key game in the final round of Heineken Cup pool matches.
Best wishes,
LEO CULLEN
Leinster Captain
