Bective Rangers FC is seeking applications for the role of Head Coach for the 2019/20 season.

Founded in 1881 Bective Rangers FC is one of the oldest rugby clubs in Ireland.

The club’s grounds are located in Donnybrook which is just a couple of miles from the city centre. The grounds contain two 4G pitches and a newly refurbished high-performance gym with state-of-the-art equipment.

The Role/Purpose

Bective are looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious and results orientated coach who will develop and implement a detailed strategy and game plan to deliver results. They will be responsible for creating a positive environment with a winning culture and a desire to perform at the highest level.


IRFU Stage 3 or 4 (or equivalent)

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Senior Squad Performance.
  • Recruitment of players into the 1st and 2nd Team Squads.
  • Deliver highly skilled, motivated pitch sessions with clear game plan and training strategies to maximise player output on match day.
  • Mentor and advise assistant coaches, U20’s coaches and players.
  • Create an environment that allows the teams develop their own identity and culture that is in keeping with the Bective’s values and ambition.
  • Create good relationships with all club coaching staff, medical personnel, S&C teams and U20s.
  • Conduct regular reviews with coaching teams and Director of Rugby against agreed KPIs.
