Billy Murphy (UCD RFC) succeeded the first female president Debbie Carty at the Leinster Branch AGM, which was held yesterday evening in the RDS.
Murphy will be the 103rd President of the Leinster Branch.
Murphy has been a member of UCD RFC since 1978, where he played and captained the freshman team, before taking on a coaching role with the club, for three seasons, and was on many club committees, including Club President in 2005/06.
He has been involved with the Leinster Branch, when he was appointed the UCD RFC representative on the Leinster Executive Committee and held chair head of the Commercial and Marketing standing committee since 2012.
Declan Gardiner of Blackrock RFC was voted incoming Senior Vice President, as Moira Flahive of Dublin University FC were both voted as Junior Vice President and will see the second female president of the branch in the 2025/26 season.
