Birr RFC’s senior men’s team are seeking applications for the position of Player Coach/Head Coach for the 2022/23 season.
Birr RFC currently compete in the Leinster League Division 2B and Midlands League.
Birr RFC is an ambitious club that strive to create a positive culture and environment that will enable players to succeed, grow and be challenged both on and off the field.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an IRFU Senior Coaching Award (Stage 3) or is willing to work towards it throughout the season
- A strong technical and tactical knowledge of all aspects of the game
- Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the club’s Director of Rugby
- Plan, prepare and deliver coaching sessions for the Senior squad ensuring that all sessions are designed to develop the skills and understanding of the players
- Develop a winning culture with game plans and training strategies focused on getting the optimal results from players on match day
