Mark McDermot, the IRFU’s former Elite Player Development Manager, has agreed to take over the reigns after a short break away from the game. Mark will bring a wealth of experience to the role and it is hoped that he will no doubt create a positive atmosphere for players to further develop and enjoy their rugby.
Aligned to Mark’s experience and expertise, Blackrock College RFC can also announce that David Murphy will be the new backs coach. David also brings with him a wealth of experience most recently been involved within the Leinster underage set-up.
Paul Lambe has also agreed stay on as the team’s Physio. Paul’s professionalism and expertise are essential to the future success of our development side’s.
We at Blackrock strive to give the best possible path for improvement and development and hope with the announcement of these two quality coaches and our expert Physio that our most important asset our players enjoy their time playing rugby and will do so for many more years to come.
