Boyne RFC recently had a Spring Quiz which took place in the club and was run over four nights during March and April…

The questions were very general and included all topics ranging from politics to current affairs and the final quiz night was a bit special, as it included a feature on the clubs very own Shane Horgan’s career.

The quiz was very successful and they had great interest from the local quiz eggheads who took the overall competition very seriously. There were separate team winners each night and a feature of the quiz was the interest there was from member families who entered as a family unit and did very well.

The last night of the four quizzes saw great club interest and the team Captained by Niall Kerbey, who plays full back for Boyne first team, win the final night of the series. He was accompanied by his girlfriend, Sinead Mathews, the club coach, Craig McGraig and Reggie McHugh, father of Mark McHugh.

The overall winners were captained by Andy Carolan along with team mates Anthony Carolan, Jim Murphy and Emmet Curran. The quiz was run by club stalwarts, Seamie Briscoe and Jim Walker which proved a great success and was enjoyed by all who took part.
