Clane RFC hosted their first coach development session for mini coaches last week which was organised by Ciaran Kelly (Youth co-ordinator) with 12 coaches taking part in the session which was overseen by Maurice Logue (CRO, Leinster Rugby)…
The coaches – from Under-6 to Under-13 levels – spent the morning going through handling, decision making and tackling followed by a question and answer session.
These sessions are part of Leinster Rugby’s ongoing commitment to the minis rugby sector and offer an opportunity for coaches to develop new techniques. It is hoped that with the success of the day that development sessions will take place in other clubs throughout Leinster .
Clane RFC are looking forward to the Heineken Cup making a visit to the club for members on Saturday, 3rd December.
