After all the hard work of the seasons training, League, Cup and Plate Matches it was time to take the fun on the road for the Under-15’s tour. This year it was decided to take the long road to Tipperary and Limerick…
The Under-15’s along with Manager Robert Hayes, Coaches Ciaran O’Connor and Conchur Mac Amhlaoidh and some players parents got a coach down to Limerick on Saturday morning where they started their days events in University of Limerick Activity Centre, where they took part in Wind Surfing, Archery, high ropes to name but a few.
After a day of fun it was time to head to Nenagh to take a long deserved soak in the Hotel Pool. The next morning it was time to head out to Nenagh Ormond Rugby Club to take on their Under-15’s in a friendly, after a very slow first half with only a score in the difference, Clon piled on the pressure and ran away with a 33-14 win.
Mikey Warner received Man of the match and was presented with a Nenagh Ormond Rugby Club Jersey after scoring his first two tries of his rugby career. Scott Dean received Player of the year and was presented with a Nenagh Ormond Rugby Club tie.
Many thanks to Nenagh RFC for a very warm welcome and hope to return a hospitality in the future.
