The Coach Development officer is an integral part of the IRFU rugby operations and the successful applicant will be responsible for improving the quality of coaches, players and the game in clubs and schools across all stages of the LTPD. The successful candidate will have the ability to critically review performance process and deliver a quality outcome
The main duties involved are:
• Deliver high quality coaching program in targeted clubs and schools
• Deliver initiatives to increase club and school understanding of the LTPD
• Manage the player development program in a designated area
• Provide support both technical and educational to the community rugby section
The successful candidate will have a,
• First degree or similar level qualification in sports or PE related discipline, or evidence of equivalent practical rugby experience
• Ability to influence others positively
• Excellent written and verbal communication/ presentation skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• LTPD Stage 4 technical knowledge/ experience
• Well developed time management skills including the ability to set and meet deadlines and to prioritise work
