The four Leinster Clubs who qualified for the ALL Ireland Junior Cup had mixed fortunes in their 1st Round fixtures on Weekend 25th October 2014…

Last season’s champions Enniscorthy commenced their defence with a 36pts to 27pts home win over Portadown RFC at Ross Rd. Clondalkin RFC travelled to Clogher Valley RFC and were unlucky to come out on the wrong side of a 16pts to 14pts score line. Coolmine RFC came out on top in a close fought contest 25pts to 22pts when they travelled west to take on Connacht club Monivea RFC. Current Leinster League Div 1Table toppers Dundalk RFC had a comfortable home win 51pts to 8pts over Munster Club Cobh Pirates at Mill Rd.

The three Leinster clubs now contest the quarter finals which are scheduled for the Saturday 22nd November 2014.  Coolmine RFC host CIYMS at their grounds at Ashbrook, Castleknock. Dundalk RFC travel south west to Newcastle West RFC for their encounter. Defending champions Enniscorthy RFC make the long trek up north to take the Ulster Bangor RFC.

The Leinster Junior Committee wish all Clubs the best and hopefully we will see three Leinster Clubs contest the semi-finals.
