We requested anyone who recognised themselves to contact us in order to put names to faces. Soon after we were contacted by John O’Reilly who recognised himself loitering at the back of a scrum. John left Ireland in 1988 and has been living in Washington DC since then.
He is a life club member and regularly checks out our website to see how the club is getting on. John has fond memories of fundraising around the community with fellow members in the early days which eventually led to the fine facilities that everyone enjoys today. Aside from family and friends the two things John misses most about Ireland are fish and chips and Coolmine Rugby Club!
