Twenty-six Coolmine RFC Under-12 players, their coaches and many of their parents boarded a bus to travel to Cork to play against the Under-12’s of Midleton RFC recently…

Arriving in Cork at 10am – following a 30 minute warm-up – the teams were ready to play.

They played four very competitive matches and gave a great display of rugby. Many thanks to members of Middleton RFC for the great welcome and hospitality shown to Coolmine’s parents, players and coaches. We won’t speak of success or failure but let’s say our players were very pleased with themselves leaving Midleton. Adults and players then adjourned to the Silver Springs Hotel to have lunch and watch the Ireland v Italy match.

Swimming pool then beckoned and after a fine dinner an early night was had by all. Next day following an early morning run for the coaches and a swim for the teams followed by great breakfast, it was back on the bus and off to Coolmine for Sunday afternoon.

Many thanks to the hotel for their fine hospitality yet again this year and to Eirbus for the excellent service transporting us to and from Cork.
