Head coach Leo Cullen has issued an injury update ahead of Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 game against Ulster Rugby at Aviva Stadium (KO 7.35pm).

All of Cian Healy (arm), Josh van der Flier (hand ) and Johnny Sexton (thumb) were withdrawn as a precaution in the second half of the weekend win over Munster but are now expected to be available this week.

Rhys Ruddock, Tadhg Furlong and Dave Kearney will be further assessed this week.

Ruddock was unavailable for the Munster game with a minor quad injury while Furlong missed out through a minor back injury. A final decision on their involvement against Ulster will be made later in the week.

Kearney was replaced in the second half against Munster after picking up a hamstring injury and he will not feature on Saturday.

Vakh Abdaladze had a procedure on a long-standing back issue last week and will be monitored over the coming weeks while Dan Leavy (knee) will again look to increase his training involvement. Both remain unavailable for selection.

There is no further update on Fergus McFadden (calf), Conor O’Brien (hamstring), Adam Byrne (hamstring) and James Ryan (shoulder).
