Leinster Rugby have been shortlisted for two of RTÉ’s end of year sports awards – team of the year and manager of the year.
Head coach Leo Cullen features in the manager of the year category after guiding the squad to a fourth successive PRO14 title in March.
Now into his seventh season as head coach of the province, Cullen has also overseen a Heineken Champions Cup in 2018 on top of the four domestic titles from 2018-2021.
After seven games of the current campaign, Leinster Rugby are also top of the United Rugby Championship and won their opening Champions Cup pool game last weekend against Bath.
The full squad and backroom team are also nominated in the team of the year category.
March’s 16-6 win over provincial rivals Munster cemented Leinster’s place as the most decorated team in the URC with eight titles over a 20 year period.
Welsh side Ospreys are second with four titles in that time.
The RTÉ Sport Awards 2021 will be broadcast live on Saturday 18 December on RTÉ One at 9.20pm.
