A Disciplinary Panel convened in Wales on Wednesday to consider the red card received by Barry Daly (no 11), for Leinster Rugby against Scarlets on Friday, 25th November for committing an act of foul play under Law 10.4 (e) – Dangerous Tackling.
The player appeared by video conference and accepted that he had committed an act of foul play which warranted a red card. The Disciplinary Panel agreed upon a low-end entry point of two weeks’ suspension which was reduced to one week due to mitigating circumstances.
Daly will be unavailable for this Saturday’s match at home to Dragons in the RDS Arena (KO 7.35pm, live TG4) and will be free to resume playing from midnight on Sunday, 4th December, 2016.
