Schools that attended on the day were Scoil Mhuire, St Patrick’s GNS, Greenlanes NS, Mother of Devine Grace, St Clare’s NS, Assumptions Senior GNS, Star of the Sea, St Brigid’s, St Davids BNS and St. Laurence O’Toole’s CBS.
Pupils had prepared for the blitz with the help of the Leinster Rugby Community Officers for the past few months. The schools, teachers and pupils showed great commitment preparing for the big day and it really showed with a high level of skill and sportsmanship.
Also on the day the children got the chance to have the photo taken with the Women’s World Cup trophy that stopped by on its whirlwind tour of the country.
Thanks to the principals and staff from each of the schools for attending the blitz and helping to make the day a huge success. Thank you to the pupils for togging out and turning the day into both a competitive and good natured event, enjoyed by the teachers and parents in attendance.
