De La Salle Palmerston FC will host a Concussion Seminar at their clubhouse on Monday, 23rd October, at 7pm in conjunction with the IRFU.
Concussion can have a significant impact on the short and long term health of player if not managed correctly.
The focus of these seminars is to help parents and coaches identify and manage concussion in rugby players.
Shane Mooney the IRFU’s First Aid and Injury Prevention coordinator will be delivering the workshop which will include modules relating to concussion recognition, initial management and the return to play protocols.
The content of these seminars have been designed to help educate coaches, parents referee’s and players to the dangers of concussion and how to recognise it.
This concussion seminar open to all parents, players, coaches, referees and anyone involved in the game of rugby within their club and is free for all to attend.
