Last Friday night the “SOLD OUT” signs were out at Kirwan Park, when a full house attended the annual De La Salle Palmerston FC end of season club dinner…
Amongst those in attendance in the packed function room, was one of the club’s newest members this season, current Leinster player and South African World Cup winning Prop CJ van der Linde, who on the night presented club ties to the Under-12 team following their graduation from the mini to the youth section.
On the night Honorary Life Membership was also bestowed on two stalwarts, Kevin Fitzpatrick (Current Senior Vice-President of the Leinster Branch and club member for over 45 years) and David Hicks (senior coach in the Mini/Youth section for over 25 years).
This is the highest honour the club can award any of its members and this year’s recipients received standing ovations, showing how respected they are within the club.
