TRY Women’s Rugby, TRY DLSP Come along to out Open Night on Wednesday August 20th.

If like us, you have been following the Ireland team with great pride at the Womens World Cup in France & would like to give the fastest growing Womens sport in Ireland a TRY?

And if you are living in the greater Stepaside, Kilternan, Leopardstown, Sandyford, Ballinteer, or Dundrum area then read on…

Next Wednesday August 20th  at 7pm, De La Salle Palmerston FC will be holding an open training session for new players for our women’s team, who this season our team will play in the Leinster Developmental League.

We have been busy training twice a week (every Monday and Wednesday) since May & thanks to the support of Jennie Bagnall and the team at Leinster Rugby, our squad continues to go from strength to strength. Currently over 20 women have signed up and the good news is we’re still recruiting!

So, no matter if you’re an experienced player or a total beginner, we’d love to invite you to come up to our club next Wednesday, give it a TRY, meet the squad & make new friends!

Again, we can’t emphasise enough,  don’t worry if you have never played before, the majority of our players are new to the sport and the feedback so far from everyone is that the best part of the experience is the friends they have made, a trait which is unique to Rugby!

Other good news is that membership is Free and we are delighted to advise the match playing jerseys have also been very kindly sponsored by Dundrum Credit Union.

Plans are also well advanced for two tours during the season, one to Galway and an end of season tour to Santander in Spain.

We are also recruiting for a Womens under 18s and under 15s teams, and again here, level of experience is not important as we have excellent coaches ready to teach the rules and skills required.

Our club grounds boast two match standard floodlit pitches along with a full bar and clubhouse facilities.

We are located just off exit 15 of the M50 (or 7 minutes drive from Dundrum Shopping Centre) and we are also serviced by the 44 Bus Route, which stops right outside our grounds.

If you can’t make our Open night next Wednesday, training sessions are held every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm – 8:30pm so feel free to come along or contact Sue Treacy directly on 085-1458500 or sutreacy@gmail.com.
