Dublin is a city rich in sporting talent and I am striving to seek out untapped talent to create the first ever Dublin City Council Rugby Team.

Interested players will be invited to a “Taster Training Session” on Thursday February 21st from 4:30pm – 6:00pm in Dublin City Council’s Clontarf Road Rugby Pitch. This session is free of charge although players are asked to dress appropriately for the weather and bring the following:
– Football boots;
– Shorts;
– Gum Shield (if they have one)

We are seeking players of all standards from those who never touched a rugby ball to those who have played before. All we ask is that they have an interest playing and developing skills in the game. Following the taster session in Clontarf, regular training sessions will be organised. It is hoped that these measures will result in the development of a team fit to take on an established Dublin Rugby Team on the weekend of the Heineken Cup Final.

If you require any further information on this project or wish me to visit your school to recruit players, I would be delighted to oblige. I look forward to hearing from you.
