Dunshaughlin Community College won their first ever Leinster senior rugby title by beating a very strong Wexford CBS team in the Senior Section ‘A’ Shield Final…

In what was a hugely exciting game played in Greystones RFC Dunshaughlin edged out Wexford thanks to a huge kick in dying minutes of the match by superb out-half Fergal Cleary to be victorious 17-15.

Captain Laurence Roche collected the trophy on behalf of the Dunshaughlin team and was somewhat lost for words.

Congratulations to the Dunshaughlin side whose hard training efforts throughout the year showed their great skill, determination and effort in winning their first Leinster title on a final score line of 17-15.

The future of rugby in Dunshaughlin Community College looks bright.
