Dunshaughlin Community College progressed to the next round of the Development Shield on Friday with a 19-0 victory over St. Mary’s Dundalk…
The game took place in Ratoath R.F.C on the Curragha Road and was refereed by Mick Dillon from Ardee.
Dunshaughlin took to the pitch sporting their new jerseys, sponsored by a parent of one of the players. Both sides took to the pitch with quite a physical set of forwards. The early exchanges had Dunshaughlin on top with two great attacks from the Dunshaughlin backline showing lovely hands to bring it into the Dundalk 22.
From there Dunshauglin never let up and came away with the try and conversion to lead 7-0. They stayed on top for long periods and went in 14-0 up at half time. The second half was a bit of a stalemate until Dunshaughlin scored a try to make it 19-0,missed the conversion.
Dundalk for all their efforts could not work their way back into the game.
