Sean Cronin, Fergus McFadden and Jordi Murphy took time out from pre-season training to launch Leinster’s new Canterbury European jersey in Life Style Sports, The Pavilion, Swords.
The new jersey, available in Test, Pro and Kids versions from today, will be worn for the first time by the team during a the pre-season friendly match against Ulster on August 30th in Tallaght Stadium and in all European matches.
Hundreds of supporters got to meet the Leinster trio who signed jerseys and posed for pictures in Life Style Sports, Ireland’s largest sports retailer. Supporters had their picture taken by Life Style Sports professional photographer using TagSpree technology, a state of the art technology that allows users to share professionally captured photography through their own Facebook and Twitter pages moments after the image has been taken.
Canterbury continues to push the boundaries of innovation in rugby; the new Leinster shirt is engineered using Canterbury’s latest high performance fabric, which delivers optimum strength and moisture management for a lightweight and comfortable feel. The fabric also delivers significant stretch capabilities, which allows a tight fit to help players evade tackles without restricting movement.
The aesthetic elements of the shirt are a modern take on a classic hoop jersey. Two staggered hoops in the centre in turn create four gold bands which put the four strings of the gold harp of Leinster at the heart of the jersey. Two gold bands on each sock also call out the four strings of the harp. Adorning the chest are the embroidered logos of both the Canterbury and the Leinster crest.
