Leinster Rugby ended their campaign with a 38-7 victory over Dragons in Round 6 of the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup.

The notable return of 1200 spectators to the RDS Arena was a welcome addition to the fixture as the province bade farewell to Scott Fardy, Michael Bent and Cian Kelleher.

Leinster had the ideal start when Jimmy O’Brien dotted down in the sixth minute to a raucous reception.

And the crowd were on their feet once more when captain Garry Ringrose flew in under the posts just 10 minutes later followed quickly by a Jordan Larmour effort in the corner.

Dragons hit back before the break through Sam Davies who converted his own try leaving it 19-7.

Second row Ryan Baird linked up with Jamison Gibson-Park for a stunning effort just after the restart with three offloads exchanged between the two as well as a 360 spin from Baird to evade would-be tacklers.

Larmour moved through the gears to get a second in the 59th minute before Scott Penny rounded out the scoring with a typically clinical finish.

There was a rousing reception for the replacement of Bent and Fardy in the second half while Kelleher was introduced late on to similar appreciation.
