Garda/Westmanstown RFC Ladies wish to appoint a first XV coach for the 2019/20 season.
This is seen as a vital role in the development of the club.
Off the back of a competitive season that will see the team compete in Leinster League Division 3 the new coach would be expected to nurture this fledgling side of mixed ability.
Reporting to the Director of Rugby the successful candidate must be capable of:
- nurturing and building a strong team spirit, adopt a collaborative approach with other support coaches.
- lead and mentor both assistant coaches and players of varying ages
- create an atmosphere conducive to social rugby, while competing at the given level
The commitment would be to two training sessions per week for 1.5 hrs each on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Availability for weekend matches is key with most of these matches on Sundays. Total on pitch commitment of six hours per week throughout the season.
The ideal candidate would come from a strong rugby background, possess a Level 1 coaching accreditation and be in a position to be Garda Vetted.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills are a must but most importantly a passion and desire for rugby.
Experience with a senior team is desirable but not essential.
