Garda/Westmanstown give back to the community…
August 29, 2012 12:00 am client
There are 5,820 children aged 5-19 with mild or moderate intellectual disability in the Republic of Ireland and 2,677 of these potential Tag rugby players live in Leinster…
At the moment Special needs have no facilities to train or play Tag rugby. This is about to change as the Garda Rugby Club with the help of Garda GAA has now provided the use of pitches.
Leinster Rugby and Fingal County Sports Office through the Fingal Community Rugby Officer are also delighted to assist.
The programme will be launched on the 2nd September in Westmanstown Sports Complex as part of the Westmanstown Rugby Open Day. Any groups interested can contact Gerry McCleery at email@example.com for contact names.
Please note also that Westmanstown/Garda Rugby are keen to welcome new Mini/Youth players.
