Jamie Hagan has agreed a deal to join the Melbourne Rebels until the end of the 2017 Super Rugby season.

Hagan will remain with Leinster for the early stages of the Guinness PRO12 campaign before joining up with the Rebels.

Speaking to melbournerebels.com about the switch to Super Rugby, Hagan said:

“Growing up in Ireland, I have always watched Super Rugby on a Saturday morning and it has always fascinated me. Now, after eight years playing professionally in Ireland and England, I have an amazing opportunity to move to Melbourne and play both with and against people of such a high calibre. It’s such an exciting tournament; the Rugby is fast, furious and open, everything that Rugby should be.”

Leinster Rugby would like to wish Jamie the best of luck when he joins the Rebels and we look forward to watching him play his part for the rest of pre-season and the start of the new Guinness PRO12 campaign.
