The great and the good of Leinster Rugby recently met in Trinity’s Atrium Hall for their annual President’s reception…
Special guests included President of the IRFU, John Callaghan and President of Leinster Rugby Des Lamont, British & Irish Lions, Ireland and ex-Trinity player Jamie Heaslip and former Honorary Secretary of the Leinster Branch, Dorothy Collins.
This annual event is an ideal opportunity for the Presidents of senior Leinster Clubs to meet up in an informal setting to discuss their thoughts on the upcoming season for their clubs, province and country.
A special presentation was make to Dorothy on the occasion of her recent retirement from Leinster Rugby and Jamie was presented with his Lions Trinity shirt by former International referee John West. Jamie presented his Lions shirt from the second Lions test to Trinity President Sheamus Considine.
On display on the night were the Heineken Cup, The Triple Crown Trophy and the Six Nations Championship Trophy.
An enjoyable evening was enjoyed by all including visiting IRB Head of Discipline, Tim Gresson.
