A draw with Castres at Stade Pierre-Antoine proved to be enough to secure a home quarter-final for Leinster in this season’s Champions Cup.

Leo Cullen’s men led 0-10 with Johnny Sexton kicking a penalty inside the opening 10 minutes and Robbie Henshaw scoring his first try for the province a couple of minutes after the restart.

There was no sign of Castres rolling over, however, and the TOP 14 side were ahead at the break, 17-10.

Leinster came back in the second, through Henshaw again, but Castres were in front again 10 minutes later.

Inside the final quarter of the game Dan Leavy scored Leinster’s third try, converted by Ross Byrne, and the sides were level again.

And that’s the way it stayed, Leinster securing the 4th seed in the quarter-finals and a home tie with Wasps.

Leinster Rugby return to the RDS Arena on 17th February. Tickets are on sale now from €20 for adults and €10 for under-18s.
