The biggest fashion event to take place in Drogheda this year saw the town’s fashionistas turning out in full force for the glittering fashion show in aid of SOSAD in the Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda….
Leinster and Ireland star Shane Horgan from Bellewstown, who is a patron of SOSAD (which stands for ‘Save our Sons and Daughters’), delighted the capacity attendance with his warm welcome and witty banter as he conducted the raffle.
‘It was a huge success, all the glitz and glamour,’ said show organiser Rosaline McHugh. ‘People were wonderful in their support of the show and the atmosphere in the room was absolutely electric.’
Several celebrity models took to the catwalk including solicitor Gerald Keane, TV gardener Diarmuid Gavin, and Sunday Independent columnist Barry Egan. The Brat Pack provided the entertainment and were a huge hit.
It is expected that the event raised more than €;10,000.
