After the huge success of the Inclusive Rugby programme ran in Clondalkin RFC last November, the club will run another inclusion summer camp.
South Dublin County Council (SDCC) are once again teaming up with Leinster Rugby and Clondalkin Rugby Club to host the inclusion camp this summer.
The camp for is suitable for children and teenagers with Intellectual Disabilities and/or ASD. The inclusion camp will run over three days, Tuesday to Thursday (20-22 July) from 10am – 12noon. There will be junior and senior groups: ages 5- 12 and 13-17.
Glenn Predy, SDCC Community Rugby Officer said: “It’s going to be a great summer of rugby and its brilliant to build on the success of last November and to have an inclusion summer camp in south Dublin is another step forward for the club.
“Clondalkin RFC have been brilliant in helping facilitate the camp. There has been a massive uptake in volunteers from the club to help coach on the camp. All volunteers will be taking a safeguard course before the camp, which will upskill the coaches and put them in a great position to provide a well-rounded experience for the kids attending.”
There are limited numbers on the camp, so booking a place early is advisable.
