After training in UCD yesterday, Leinster Rugby Head Coach Matt O’Connor has issued a squad injury update ahead of Friday’s Guinness PRO12 game against Benetton Treviso in the RDS Arena (Kick Off: 7.35pm – live on TG4).
As confirmed by Leo Cullen at a press briefing earlier this week, Luke Fitzgerald has undergone surgery on his left shoulder and will be sidelined for up to 12 weeks.
Sean O’Brien, Mike McCarthy and Jimmy Gopperth all resumed training yesterday having sat out Monday’s session with minor knocks and are expected to be fit for Friday’s game.
Rhys Ruddock returned to the training pitch this week as he steps up his recovery but is not in consideration for either of the two games over the next two weekends.
