In the backs, Hugh O’Sullivan starts at scrum-half, with Angus Curtis at number 10.

David McCarthy and James Hume form the centre partnership, with Mark Keane and Peter Sullivan on the wings and Michael Silvester at full-back.

Belvedere College captain Max Kearney is named on the bench, as is Blackrock College full-back Tom Roche.

Gonzaga College back James Kenny is also among the replacements, as is Naas RFC prop Jordan Duggan.

This evening’s game in the Stade Jules Ladoumègue in Lormont is the first of two matches between the sides, with the second fixture set for this Sunday in Stade Robert Brettes, Merignac, Bordeaux.
