The IRFU are now inviting applications for the position of HR Generalist, Leinster Rugby.
Reporting to the CEO, Leinster Rugby and the IRFU HR Manager, the successful candidate will provide specialised support, advice and assistance on all employment issues for Leinster Rugby staff and management. This role will also include project type work as required by the CEO or HR Manager. This position involves performance of duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum 3 years HR experience
- CIPD qualified
- Degree in HR or business discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
General areas of responsibility include:
- Provide guidance, assistance and support to all levels of Management and other support staff at Leinster Rugby
- Liaise with the Leinster CEO and IRFU HR Manager for all Industrial Relations/Employee Relations issues including performance, attendance, conduct, grievances etc.
- Project Management on new initiatives (to be established in annual KPI’s)
- Build and manage relationships with various stakeholder groups to support the delivery of business objectives
- Communicate on a regular basis with Leinster Management to ascertain their needs in terms of staff, training and other needs
- Primary responsibility for the administration and logistics of the Recruitment and Selection for Leinster Rugby (including sitting on interview panels when required)
- Salary Benchmarking projects, Management Development Programme, Organisation Structure review etc. as required
- Promote a positive working environment through effective Employee Engagement initiatives
- Keep up to date on all changes in employment law and implement any necessary changes in policies and procedures
- Liaise with the Payroll and Finance Departments (in both Leinster Rugby and the IRFU) to inform them of any changes on a monthly basis
- Draft employee contracts
- Maintaining, updating, and improving Terms and Conditions of employment all staff
- Management of Leinster employee vetting processes
- Maintain and monitor the Leinster Rugby Annual Staff Performance Review Process
- Ensure all new IRFU Staff & Players complete the mandatory World Rugby anti-corruption module
- Communicate with Leinster Rugby employees regarding new or amended HR initiatives/policies
- Track and create reports on staff statistics e.g. sick leave, attrition rate, annual leave
- Conduct inductions and exit interviews with Leinster Rugby employees
- Maintain employee database
- Work closely with the IRFU HR Generalist on issues including work permits, health insurance for players, player contracting, salary changes to IRFU staff, leavers and new-comers etc.

- Maintain effective relationships with staff within Leinster Rugby, the IRFU staff & staff in the Provinces
- Carry out duties and responsibilities as mentioned above to an effective and efficient standard
- Establish efficient work practices
- Make effective and informed decisions in relation to the role and the Department
- Portray a competent and professional image of Leinster Rugby and the IRFU on behalf of the HR Department
This position is based in Belfield, Dublin. It is being offered on a 3 year, full-time, fixed-term contract basis.
