Robbie Henshaw

Robbie Henshaw turned in big performances for Leinster in the two interprovincial wins against Ulster and Munster.

Against our Conference A rivals, Henshaw made 13 carries for 32 metres and made seven tackles in midfield while also partnering well with first-time centre Ross Byrne. His 52nd-minute try also pushed Leinster into a five-point lead which they would not relinquish.

He displayed another complete midfield performance in the win at Thomond Park, a willing ball-carrier throughout the 80 minutes, with five tackles in defence.

Luke McGrath

An ever-present in the matchday squad throughout January, Luke McGrath started three games while also appearing from the bench against Ulster.

As well as scoring tries against Connacht and Scarlets, arguably McGrath’s finest performance during January came in the win at Thomond Park.

The scrum half linked well with his captain Johnny Sexton in midfield to orchestrate the Leinster attack while also making some timely defensive interventions.

Andrew Porter

Like Henshaw, Andrew Porter featured in the wins over Ulster and Munster with the prop proving his worth over and again.

He went the distance at Thomond Park and made a titanic 21 tackles, covering every blade of grass.

The former St Andrew’s College man also carried nine times, gaining 15 metres in a game of fine margins.
