Over 120 players from St Joseph’s Boys School, Terenure, take part in blitz….

Terenure College RFC welcomed the students of 4th & 5th class from St. Joseph’s Boys Terenure for an afternoon blitz.  Over 120 boys along with 5 staff members made the short trip up Greenlea Road.

There were 4 pitches laid out with over 10 teams taking part.  The format was round robin with everyone being able to take on their fellow classmates at least once.  The skill level throughout the whole afternoon was of a very high standard.  There has been huge improvement in understanding and skill throughout the year.

Each game was played with an intense will to win from all sides.  The temperature was cold outside but the temperature on the pitch was red hot!

A great day was had by all.  Thanks to our hosts, Terenure, to Anne and all her staff and to Ken Knaggs for helping out on the day.  A huge mention to all the boys who really enjoyed the year and judging from what I have seen throughout the season the future of Terenure rugby is in good hands.
