Jordi Murphy has joined up with the Ireland squad ahead of Saturday’s Guinness Series match against Fiji at Aviva Stadium (KO 5.30pm).

The Leinster back rower joins the squad along with Ulster Rugby’s Sean Reidy following injuries to Tommy O’Donnell and Dan Leavy which ruled them out of selection this week.

On Friday evening Murphy started and scored a try for the Barbarians in their 27-24 victory over Tonga at Thomond Park.

Peter O’Mahony received a number of stitches to his ear after the win over South Africa and John Ryan will rehab a calf injury in Munster this week.

The remainder of the match day 23 emerged with the usual bumps and bruises but are expected to be fit to train this week.
