This past Tuesday, ten finalists from over 5,000 entries to our “I Love Leinster” art competition were picked…

The winner was decided by whichever piece of art received the most likes on the Official Leinster Rugby Facebook page. Since then, there has been a remarkable level of interest in the competition with our winner receiving an amazing 2,716 likes on their entry.

The lucky winner, Debbie McMahon, Age 12 ,from Kildalkey National School in County Meath  has won tickets for her whole school to next weeks Rabo Direct PRO 12 game in the RDS against Treviso. To add to that, Debbie will receive a full Leinster Rugby kit, be our Official Matchday Mascot and will lead the team onto the field against Treviso.

A special mention has to go to our runner up, Leo Cahill, from Kildavin National School, who had brilliant support for his entry with 2,670 likes but was unfortunately pipped at the post.

A family pass (two adult and two children tickets) has been won by the rest of our top ten finalists and will be posted today. We look forward to having you all in the RDS next Friday.

We also have a prize of a signed jersey by the whole Leinster squad for the school which had the most entries throughout the competition. A huge congratulations to Gaelscoil Nás na Ríogh from County Kildare who had an amazing 278 pieces entered who are the lucky winners of the jersey.

Once again, Leinster Rugby would like to thank each and every person who took the time to enter our competition. The reaction we have had from schools across the province was unbelievable and the standard of the entries received was incredibly high. A huge thank you goes to everyone who voted on the entries. Your support was greatly appreciated by all our finalists.

Once again, congratulations to all of our top ten finalists and especially to our overall winner, Debbie McMahon from Kildalkey National School, County Meath. We look forward to seeing you all in the RDS next Friday.
